For the 2003 model, Mitsubishi Montero Sport still came in four level trims: ES, LS, XLS and the high-class Limited. Optional rear-wheel or four-wheel drive is offered. Mitsubishi's ALL4-wheel drive system can be operated either in High or Low range and it comes with 4-wheel antilock disk brakes and skid plates. There are two engine choices, which include the 3.0L 165-hp V6 for the ES and LS trims, and the 3.5L 197-hp engine for the XLS and Limited level trims.
