2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

For the 2003 model, Mitsubishi Montero Sport still came in four level trims: ES, LS, XLS and the high-class Limited. Optional rear-wheel or four-wheel drive is offered. Mitsubishi's ALL4-wheel drive system can be operated either in High or Low range and it comes with 4-wheel antilock disk brakes and skid plates. There are two engine choices, which include the 3.0L 165-hp V6 for the ES and LS trims, and the 3.5L 197-hp engine for the XLS and Limited level trims. These engines achieve a torque of 186 lb-ft and 223 lb-ft, respectively.

This 4-door 5-seater SUV is constructed on a truck chassis so it feels like a truck. It steers, handles and rides so light that you won't feel any rough carlike sensation. It is specially designed and equipped to wheel through rough terrains and any harsh driving situations. But it also offers a comfortable ride like luxury cars with its amenities including air conditioning; power windows, doors, mirrors and steering and AM/FM/CD player on the base model. Higher trims include cruise control, remote keyless entry, split-folding rear seat, adjustable driver's seat, dual front airbags, roof rails, full-size spare tire, alloy wheels, side steps and rear privacy glass. The top of the line Mitsubishi Montero Sport Limited version features equally top-notch parts like leather upholstery, heated front seats, power sunroof, Infinity audio system and power antenna.
